Ethan College of Biblical Studies was founded by Dr. Abiodun Adesida in response to a divine vision and calling to raise sound biblical scholars, ministers, missionaries, and Christian leaders for effective service in the Kingdom of God.

The inspiration for the institution came while Dr. Adesida was attending the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp in Imo State, Nigeria. During a message titled “The Sure Word of Prophecy” at a program themed “Come Up Hither” (Revelation 4:1), preached by Rev. Yahaya Dingamaji, he received a clear burden to establish a theological institution. The reference to Ethan the Ezrahite, a man renowned for wisdom and devotion to God, became the foundation for the name and vision of the college.

Since its establishment, Ethan College of Biblical Studies has remained committed to providing quality theological education through flexible and accessible learning platforms. The college equips students with biblical knowledge, spiritual formation, ministerial skills, leadership competence, and a passion for Christian service.

Today, Ethan College of Biblical Studies serves students from different denominations and nations, preparing men and women to fulfill their God-given calling in ministry, missions, Christian education, church administration, and community transformation, while upholding the authority of Scripture and the lordship of Jesus Christ.
