A Short Note on the Birth of the Distance Learning Program at Ethan College of Biblical Studies
Ethan College of Biblical Studies began in 2018 with a traditional, in-person (terrestrial) theological training program. However, following the COVID-19 lockdown, Dr. Abiodun Adesida received a renewed burden to expand the college’s reach. He observed the need for a more accessible model of theological education—especially for missionaries and rural ministers with little or no formal education.
In response, Dr. Adesida prayerfully invited Pastor Soledolu Jumoke and Dr. Akinyombo Benjamin to join him in transforming Ethan’s existing model. Together, they incorporated a Distance Learning Program, aiming to upgrade the Ethan School of Prophets into a fully-fledged theological seminary. This vision was driven by the desire to raise, equip, and certify committed servants of God—regardless of their location or academic background.
